I have deep appreciation and curiosity about how we show up in life—how we live, love, and deal with the inevitable challenges that come with being human. My approach is eclectic, bringing in a variety of trainings and influences, adjusting for what works best for each client.
My specialized areas of study are attachment, PTSD, developmental and complex trauma, and dissociation. I am greatly influenced by the gentleness and sensitivity I see and feel in the prenatal and perinatal psychology field (for adults). I am also greatly influenced by the somatic psychotherapies and am enrolled in the 3-year Somatic Experiencing (SE) International professional training program.
I welcome and enjoy working with a wide variety of people and issues, with additional focus on those who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, neurodiverse, plural.
My education and some of my additional trainings are: Master of Social Work from Delaware State University, Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), and trainings in the prenatal and perinatal psychology field for adults from practitioners who worked with and/or were trained by Ray Castellino.
There are many teachers and mentors who have and continue to support my growth and work as a person and psychotherapist. Their influences flow through my life and work—to them I offer gratitude.
